Lengthening Treatment
There are 3 different methods used in lengthening surgeries. We decide on the method by evaluating your patient's current situation, selection and evaluation.
The external fixator method is a system in which the bone is predicted with thin wires and cameras. This device stretches from above and above and gradually. It is also called method.
In the combined method, there is a fixation system outside the skin to fix the bone, and a nail or plate inside. The most important advantage of the combined method is that it shortens the detection time from the outside.
In the motorized nail method, there is no visible system from the outside, only a nail (Motorized nail) that gradually grows inside the bone. The patient's comfort is very high, as bone elongation is provided only by an internal system.
Deformity Correction Treatment
We call the bending or deformities of the bones as deformities. The deformity can occur in different parts of the body. For example, leg curvature, popularly known as O leg or X leg, or bony deformities in the hip and foot area are the most common examples of deformities we encounter.
While determining the method to be used in the treatment phase, we evaluate the age of the patient, the degree of deformity and the reason for its occurrence. When we deem it necessary, we prepare the treatment program by working in coordination with fields such as pediatric endocrinology or genetics.
